Things to do on Campus over Christmas
Christmas is just around the corner and there are lots of things going on around Campus that you definitely won’t want to miss out on! From Christmas Markets to a Christmas Quiz, Herts has got you covered. There will even be a Christmas Day Dinner if you are staying on campus during the holidays!
From Sunday 1 December until Friday 6 December, Herts will be giving out presents to 12 lucky students and make their Christmas dreams come true. So, whether you want to receive the ultimate Christmas present, or you want to gift it to someone else, be sure to let us know!
Every day, Herts will be posting a ‘Herts Wishes’ post on Facebook and Twitter. To get involved, just comment on the Facebook or Twitter post with your Christmas wish and our Christmas elf will select 2 wishes to come true each day. Make sure you submit your Christmas wish before 17:00, otherwise it might not be counted!

This year the Christmas Markets will be taking place on the Wednesday 4 December from 12:00 until 18:00 and is completely FREE to attend. So, if you want to get into the Christmas spirit, pop on down to the College Lane Campus on the 4 December and have a wander round the markets. You might just find the perfect gift!

The event will take place on 10 December from 19:00 until 21:00 so if you want to come along, please arrive before 19:00 so you don’t miss anything!
Tickets are only £2, and you can book them in advance.
Skate into the festive season with Active Students at their festive Roller Disco. Grab some skates and celebrate the end of term with your mates!
Due to our skating sessions being popular students will only be able to skate in one of the below four sessions.
Wednesday 11 December, Ellenbrook Field, de Havilland, (Behind the de Havilland Shuttle Bus Stop!) 12:40 for 12:45 start.
Join Active Students for a 3.5km walk, run or jog around Ellenbrook fields following Santa. Get that festive feeling for free with refreshments included!
For those students who will be around on Christmas Day and are living on Campus, the Office of the Dean of Students and some wonderful volunteers have arranged a Christmas day lunch, complete with games, prize draw and much more!

Christmas Markets
Every year your Students’ Union host a Christmas market, and this year it will be packed with even more activities to keep you busy all afternoon. There will be lots of stalls full of jewellery, crafts and other goods, so you can shop until your heart’s content. There will also be plenty of food and drink to keep you going.This year the Christmas Markets will be taking place on the Wednesday 4 December from 12:00 until 18:00 and is completely FREE to attend. Christmas Quiz
This year we will be hosting a Christmas Quiz on campus and there are some amazing prizes to be won! Not only that but the quiz will be in aid of our three chosen charities, Environmental Justice Foundation, Arts 4 Dementia and Potential Kids.The event will take place on 10 December from 19:00 until 21:00 so if you want to come along, please arrive before 19:00 so you don’t miss anything!

Christmas Roller Disco
Tuesday 10 December, Auditorium, The forum, College LaneSkate into the festive season with Active Students at their festive Roller Disco. Grab some skates and celebrate the end of term with your mates!

Carol Services
The University’s Go Herts Choir and Chaplaincy are coming together on both campuses for this years Christmas Carol Services. Come along on one, or both, of the below dates to join in for a sing along, mulled wine and mince pies.- Wednesday 11 December 12.30 - 13.30, Atrium, de Havilland. Mulled wine and mince pies to follow.

Don’t stay in on our your own on Christmas Day.
