One month since Lockdown: What have we been up to?

Thursday 23 April marked one month since Herts went into isolation. It has been a difficult and challenging few weeks, but our staff, students and alumni have pulled together, and we couldn’t be prouder πŸ’œ 

So what have we been up to? 

Herts has: 
πŸ₯ donated an NHS standard ventilator 
πŸ§‘‍πŸ”¬ produced 35L of hand sanitiser 
😷 utilised 16 of its 3D printers to make face shields 
We produced hand sanitiser on campus
πŸ’‰ over 200 nursing students who have extended their placement 
🧍20+ social work students continuing their placements 
🀱 29 midwifery students starting their extended clinical placements 
Our students are helping on placements
🀰 shortened course midwifery students supporting various NHS hospitals around the country 
πŸ™Ž35 physiotherapy students starting their placements 
Physiotherapy students are helping
πŸ’œ delivered over 1000 care packages to its students in just 48 hours 
πŸ§‘‍πŸ’» recorded lectures that now have over 6,500 views 
πŸ“±responded to over 2000 messages across our main social channels 
πŸ—’ written 20+ blog articles to help you during lockdown 
Our staff and students are #HertsHeroes
πŸ“© sent 25+ regular emails to students with updates, videos and blogs 
πŸƒ held over 100 virtual active staff sessions 
❓answered over 2000 queries through Helpdesk alone 
We have sent over 25 emails to staff and students
