Athletic Union:

With our student body studying at home, self-isolating, social distancing and shielding, it’s more important than ever to stay physically and mentally active. Since lockdown started, social media has been flooded with new and exciting ways to stay active, including a number of challenges that have surfaced. We’ve seen press-ups, hand stands and toilet roll keepie-uppies, and it’s been great to see our Athletic Union Clubs get involved.

Be sure to check out the efforts from the Women’s Football Team (@uhwomensfc) and Lacrosse Team (@hertfordshirecomets) on Instagram! Think you can do better or want to show us how you’re staying active through isolation? Please tag us on Instagram at @hertsquad and we will repost the best ones!

April 1st also marked the day the Athletic Union were set to travel to Derby in our annual Varsity clash. The event is a brilliant way to sign off the season and celebrate our students’ commitment, so to mark the occasion we have released an extended version of our annual round-up. Head to the Herts Squad social media channels to see the review of the season!
