Stay on top of your studies with LinkedIn Learning

Whether you are busy revising and researching your end of year assignment or perhaps looking ahead to life after graduation then LinkedIn Learning is a great place to develop your skills and advance your career.

As a University of Herts student, you have free exclusive access to LinkedIn Learning both whilst you are studying here and for 3 years after you graduate.

What will I find?

You’ll find a huge library of online video tutorials covering a whole range of subjects from business, IT and creative to softer skills such as presentation, resilience and leadership skills.  The expert-led video tutorials come with searchable transcripts for immediate answers and you can also use the Q&A feature to ask questions or view questions and answers others have posted.

If you have a LinkedIn profile you can connect your learning account to your profile and receive more personalised recommendations for you based on your skills and interests and what others in your network are learning.  And, you can add skills and completed courses to your LinkedIn profile to promote your skills to future employers.

Go Herts Award:  LinkedIn Learning courses can also be used as part of your Go Herts award so it’s a great opportunity to develop your skills and boost your CV.

Where do I start?

Log in at https://go.herts.ac.uk/LiL with your University username@herts.ac.uk and password. For learning on the go you can also download the free LinkedIn Learning mobile app – just search LinkedIn Learning in your app store.

There are lots of resources available to support you with your studies – here are a few we’ve picked out to help you beat stress and stay on top of your studies:

And for your own Canvas module on Referencing, Searching, Reading and Evaluating, join Library SkillUP at go.herts.ac.uk/libraryskillup – you can chat to us online from 10-4 each day.

Why not use the opportunity whilst you are working from home to take a look at LinkedIn Learning and see what else there is for you - it might be a nice distraction to learn something new!
