How have you been celebrating Pride?





Although, large scale Pride celebrations were cancelled this year, lots of you were finding your own ways to celebrate in your own homes and online! Here are just a few of the ways you have been celebrating Pride this month:







Baking 

It’s nice to sere that lots of you were using your baking skills to celebrate Pride this month! There are loads of rainbow themed bakes that you have been making to celebrate the occasion, which is great!
If you still wanted to get involved and get colourful, there are loads of different rainbow recipes for you to try, here are just a few:

Rainbow Sugar Cookies

The pictures above show some Rainbow Sugar cookies which are really easy to make! Although they can take a while to decorate… but it is a nice activity to occupy your time and help you to relax!

Rainbow Ice Cream cake

Not only is this the perfect way to celebrate Pride but it is also great for the warm weather! It doesn’t take too long to prep and then you just pop it in the freezer and wait for it to harden. It can also keep for a while too, so you can celebrate Pride for the next few weeks too!

Rainbow Pinwheel Cookies

These Rainbow Pinwheel cookies not only look great, but they taste amazing too. They are super easy to make and are the perfect way to celebrate Pride. You’ll definitely be a favourite in the household if you decide to make these!

LGBTQ+ Charity Fundraiser Talent Show 

The Herts SU hosted a virtual LGBT Charity Fundraiser Talent Show, with 100% of donations going to UK Black Pride. The event was streamed live on Friday 26 June and it was a huge success! What a great way to celebrate Pride and raise some money for such an important cause!

Volunteering and Donating 

Lots of you have been volunteering and donating this month to help celebrate Pride and support such an important cause. Whether you attended the Charity fundraiser, or donated through the London Pride website, these donations really help to make a difference.

Pride Inside

Pride Inside is a not-for-profit grassroots campaign that was created to celebrate Pride this year. Ginger Johnson, drag star, writer and performer has brought together LGBTQ+ photographers from all over the UK to take photos of over 100 people from the LGBTQ+ community and these will be used in over 1,000 locations all over the UK!
