Summer Productivity Hacks

Summer’s here, and you deserve a break. But that doesn’t mean you have to lose your momentum entirely. If you want to keep your energy up, feel less overwhelmed, and get ready for whatever’s next, a productivity reset might be just what you need.

Here’s our favourite tips and tricks on how to do it without too much effort:

1. Start small and gentle

Don’t try to become a whole new person overnight. Instead, pick one small habit to build or change. It could be as simple as waking up 15 minutes earlier, setting a daily intention, or clearing your space before bed.

2. Ditch the “all or nothing” mindset

Some days you’ll be buzzing, other days you’ll want to binge-watch that new show guilt-free. Both are okay. It’s important to allow yourself to switch off without feeling guilty.

3. Create “work blocks”

Long sessions focusing on the same task isn’t for everyone. Maybe you want to revamp your CV, but you can’t stand the thought of staring at a screen for hours while the sun is shining! Try focusing for 30-minute bursts before taking a break – that way you’ll still get stuff done.

4. Move your body (even a little)

Next time you’re cooking dinner – whack on some tunes and boogie around the kitchen. Instant mood booster.

5. Plan your “don’t-do” list
Sometimes saying no is the best productivity hack. Write down what you won’t do this summer so you can say yes to what matters.

6. Not all apps are evil
Apps like Forest, To-do list, or even simple alarms can help you feel like you’re ticking things off (no matter how small). Or use your faves to habit stack – try stretching next time you’re sat watching TV or put on a podcast or audiobook when you need ultimately need to sort out that dreaded clothes chair.

Remember, this is your summer. Reset in a way that works for you. Small wins can quickly add up.
