What's on this February
There’s loads of things going on this month! Keep reading to find out what you can get involved in!
We’re bringing a scrumptious Bake Sale to both campuses from 12:00-15:00 on Wednesday 5 February. All proceeds will be donated to RaG’s chosen charities so be sure to come along and treat yourself to a cake or two!
Throughout the day we have a selection of different events and activities to support the campaign:
Coffee Morning 10:00 – 11:00 - We would like to invite you to a Time to Talk coffee morning on Thursday, 6 February 2020 between 10:00 – 11:00 in Chapman Lounge, College Lane Campus.
What to expect? – An opportunity to talk in an open and informal environment. Bring a friend along for complimentary teas and coffees and you will be able to purchase cake for a donation in aid of Mind.
Tune into Trident Media Radio at 13:00 – 14:00 – Our very own Mental Health Advisor Robin Littlewood will be live on air on trident media radio station from 13:00 – 14:00.
Robin will be talking about time to talk day, mental health and trying to break down some of the stigma that surrounds this area, and answering some questions sent in by the university community.

How to tune in? - Download the free app ‘TuneIn Radio’ from your app store, once downloaded, search ‘Trident Media Radio’. This will bring up a play button on the Trident Media Radio page, then press play to listen live. Alternatively, the show will be streamed live in the Hutton Hub.
Meet our UH Therapy Dogs 15:30 – 16:30 – Come along to our drop-in session at B400, College Lane with our brilliant university Therapy dogs, poppy and piper. Anyone is welcome to come along and meet them, please just register your interest by emailing Studentexperience@herts.ac.uk so we have an idea of expected numbers. Poppy and Piper look forward to meeting you!
Social Media – Keep an eye on @Deanofstudentsevents & @UHStudentwellbeing on Instagram and @UHStudentLife & @WellbeingSvcs on Twitter. Samantha Soni, one of our amazing counsellors has written a short piece - on why ethnic minorities struggle to access support, and will also include lots of resources for support such as what our University has to offer, as well as external support.
Admission is free and there is no need to book, just come along and enjoy a musical moment!
Hertfordshire Students' Union and UH Sport Rowing are challenging you to row a marathon in February to raise money for amazing charities.
To kickstart your rowing challenge, we will have rowing machines in the de Havilland Atrium on Thursday 6th February for you to walk up and have a go.
You can do it in stages or in one go anytime in February. And you can do it solo or get your whole club or society involved!
Whether you’re a rowing pro or completely new to it, FebROWary is an ideal way to get fit, boost endorphins and fundraise for an incredible cause.
We are raising money for Help Refugees by hosting Speed Meet. This event is a really great opportunity to meet people who are also looking to meet new friends.
Have a quick chat, a bit to eat and who knows... you might have a new friend after it!

Instead of buying something new, here you can shop tonnes of sustainable vintage, retro and branded fashion.

Get some fresh air and exercise and help keep our community tidy? We will meet at College Lane reception at 12.30 - equipment is provided and you can come along for as long as you are able. Join us to make a difference to the local community!

University of Hertfordshire's first Pride! Join us on Wednesday 26 February 12:00 – 16:00 for stalls, entertainment and more to celebrate all things love and equality.
This event is completely FREE and is one you do not want to miss - so bring some friends and explore what our Pride Market has to offer.
The Market will be complete with stalls from students, staff and anyone is welcome to apply for a stall.

Time to Talk day is a national Mental Health awareness day led by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, taking place on Thursday 6 February.Throughout the day we have a selection of different events and activities to support the campaign:
